The landmine is one of the most cost-effective and versatile tools you can add to your setup. It’s just a barbell anchored at one end, but with the right attachments, it transforms into a machine that can mimic rows, presses, rotations, and more.
Let’s go through my favorite landmine attachments, why I recommend them, and one that I suggest skipping.
Force 6 Fitness T-Bar Row Attachment
If I had to pick one landmine attachment above all the others, this would be it. The Force 6 Fitness T-Bar Row handle has articulating grips that rotate and adjust in width, making it useful for both landmine rows and cable attachments.
I’ve built an incredible chest-supported row setup around this handle: Rogue Pritchett Pad + Exponent Edge Landmine Jack + barbell in the landmine + this handle. Honestly, I’d put it up against any standalone row machine.
Why it works so well:
-
Fully articulating handles reduce wrist strain.
-
Adjustable grip width = custom fit.
-
Doubles as both a landmine and cable handle.
It’s a versatile, high-quality piece that makes every pull variation feel smooth.
Exponent Edge Landmine Jack
This might be the most underrated attachment you can buy. The Exponent Edge Landmine Jack props the barbell up off the ground, making it easy to load and unload plates.
If you’ve ever tried sliding plates on and off a bar that’s flush with the floor, you know the struggle. This jack saves your back, your barbell sleeves, and a lot of frustration.
I especially love it paired with the chest-supported row setup, but it improves literally every landmine exercise where you’re changing plates often.
Titan Fitness Viking Press Handle
This was one of my earlier home gym purchases, and I didn’t realize how much I’d end up using it. The Viking Press Handle attaches to the landmine for overhead pressing variations.
Pro tips:
-
Skip the skinny-handle version—go with the thicker handle. It feels better and is more comfortable for pressing.
-
Pair it with Titan’s Landmine Stand for optimal setup.
The Viking Press Handle has become a staple in my shoulder training because it’s stable, joint-friendly, and fun to use.
Titan Landmine Stand
While the Exponent Edge Jack lifts the bar just enough to slide plates on and off, the Titan Landmine Stand takes it a step further by elevating the bar significantly.
This makes it easier to get into position for presses, rows, and other movements without awkwardly wrestling the bar from the ground.
Titan offers two versions:
-
Standalone Stand – easy to move around the gym (what I use).
-
Stand + Weight Tree Combo – less mobile, but doubles as storage.
For me, the standalone version is more practical.
The Landmine Attachment to Avoid: Titan Linebacker Squat
Now for the letdown: the Titan Fitness Linebacker Squat attachment. On paper, it looks versatile. In reality, it’s one of the most awkward pieces I’ve ever owned.
Here’s the problem: loading it safely is nearly impossible. The linebacker pad has weight horns on both sides, but no way to keep them balanced. If you load one side at a time, the attachment flips. That means:
-
You need two people loading at once, or
-
You need industrial-strength clips, or
-
You settle for just one plate per side.
If you want to go heavier than that (and most people will), you’re stuck. You can try loading it on the floor and cleaning it into position, but that’s unwieldy and unsafe.
When loaded properly, it does feel good—it mimics a hybrid hack squat or leverage squat, especially paired with a squat wedge. But the setup is so clunky and unsafe that I can’t recommend it. Mine has collected dust for years.
Other notes:
-
It has rotating handles for presses or rows, but the dedicated Viking Press Handle does that job better.
-
Loading plates on the barbell sleeve instead of the horns doesn’t solve the problem—you’re still limited in weight and it’s even harder to set up.
-
As weight increases, the stress on the bar and landmine mount gets excessive.
Bottom line: it’s big, awkward, and not worth the space. Skip it.
Final Thoughts
The landmine is already one of the most versatile pieces of equipment in a home gym. But when you add the right attachments, it becomes an absolute powerhouse for back, shoulders, chest, and even leg training.
My personal essentials are:
-
Force 6 Fitness T-Bar Row Handle
-
Exponent Edge Landmine Jack
-
Titan Viking Press Handle
-
Titan Landmine Stand
These take the landmine from “nice to have” to “must-have.” Just be careful with budget knockoffs—they’re usually not worth it.
Bottom line: The landmine belongs in every home gym, and these attachments make it even better.
